"I am a positive, spontaneous, creative person with a sense of humor and extremely passionate about doing what I love. I really enjoy applying security and privacy on challenging environments and I like to think that any problem can be solved. I have been working on applied cryptography for 8 years. You can discover more about my work here."
I have received my Ph.D. in Computer Science from University of Rome "La Sapienza", Italy, in 2014 and I am currently a post-doc researcher at the same department. My research interests include Applied Cryptography, Internet of Things, Wireless Sensor Networks, Underwater Acoustic Sensor Networks, Security, Privacy and Software Defined Networking. I have contributed to these research topics with several papers published in leading venues, such as Ad Hoc Networks and the Network and Distributed System Security Symposium (NDSS). During my postdoc and PhD, I have participated in several European projects, including the FP7 ARTEMIS CHIRON project, the FP7 GENESI project and the FP7 SUNRISE project. I was also an active member of the national PRIN project TENACE, where I have designed and developed security solutions focused on the protection of national critical infrastructures from cyber threats. Moreover, I am collaborating with Sapienza start-up companies and research centers to design novel technologies supporting secure, cooperative and heterogeneous wireless networks for applications raging from environmental and infrastructure monitoring, to healthcare and homeland security.
I designed and developed security solutions, such as a tiny version of TLS, reviewed research work for international journals such as IEEE Sensors, Springer Wireless Networks, Elsevier Computer Standard and Interfaces, IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics & Security, IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing and international conferences such as ACM MobiHoc, ACM MobiCom, IEEE ICC, and shared ideas and results in many project meetings and international conferences.
